Read Montague is an American neuroscientist and leading figure in computational neuroscience and computational psychiatry, known for his work on how dopamine and serotonin shape human learning, motivation, and decision-making. He is a professor and the Virginia Tech Carilion Vernon Mountcastle Research Professor at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, where he directs the Center for Human Neuroscience Research, the Human Neuroimaging Lab, and the Computational Psychiatry Unit.
