“Yeah, it was, it was one of the books he wrote under his pseudonym, Richard Backman. He wrote like five novels before he got rumbled... And The Running Man was written in 1982... I'd read the book as a teenager. I think probably like a lot of people, Stephen King was a real gateway author for me in the sense of I was reading his books in my early teens and it was probably some of the first grown up books I ever read. And The Running Man made a particular impression on me.”
